What Our Story Vault is
Our Story Vault is a private digital archive where a family keeps its photos, film, documents and recorded stories together, across generations, and shared only with the people it invites.
Why we built it
I built Our Story Vault originally for my Mother, to store all her family archives: videos, stories, photos, and birth certificates from the 1800s right up to today, where the family posts pictures of now and milestones for their children. We are spread around the world; this way our history will never be forgotten. The next generation will know where they came from, and so will their grandchildren.
Every family's memories are scattered. A few photos in a WhatsApp group. More lost on an old phone. A shoebox of prints at someone's house. And the stories behind them, who's in the photo, what happened that day, living only in one person's memory. When that person goes, the stories go with them.
We built Our Story Vault so that never has to happen again. One private place where the ancestors who came before, the life you're living now, and the children still to come all live together, safe, shared, and built to outlast any phone, laptop or cloud account.
